Fantasy horse racing for beginners: how the scoring works
One runner in each of six featured races, a budget, and a Stable Star who scores double. Fantasy horse racing explained step by step.
Fantasy horse racing turns a big race day into a game. You pick one runner in every featured race and score from where they finish.
Your stable
- Six featured races on each race day.
- One runner per race within a 100.0m budget.
- Favourites cost more, outsiders are cheaper.
How points are scored
- Your points depend on the finishing position and the size of the field: placing in a big field is worth more.
- Winning by a length or more adds a bonus.
- A horse that falls, is brought down, unseats its rider or refuses still earns 1 point.
Your Stable Star
One runner is your Stable Star and scores double. Pick the horse you trust most, ideally in a big field where a place is worth plenty.
Non runners
If your horse is withdrawn, you can pick another runner from the same race before it starts.
