Guards bring assists and steals, big men bring rebounds and blocks. How to split your budget between the two courts.
Your ten players are split into five backcourt and five frontcourt. Getting the balance right between them is the key to a strong team.
What guards give you
- Assists, worth 2 points each.
- Steals, worth 3 points each.
- Usually many points from three pointers.
What big men give you
- Rebounds every single game.
- Blocks, worth 3 points each.
- Steady minutes and high floors.
How to split the budget
Buy one or two premium players in the court with the deepest talent, then fill the other court with value picks who start and play big minutes. Keep at least one cheap player in each court who can come into your starting five when schedules change.
